(June 2020 - January 2022)
My current position is truly exotic and fantastic. I have the privilege of supporting the hands-on teaching and learning objectives of the ME program at CSU while providing technical expertise in a wide range of disciplines. It is a "Jack of all Trades" type role. , writing, maintaining, and updating LabVIEW and other software around the teaching labs, undergraduate and graduate student recruiting, designing custom hardware for 3D printing, and other teaching experiments and demonstrations, and IT technical support for a wide range of systems and applications.

Engineering support including design, implementation, instruction, maintenance, and repair. of laboratory equipment in 6 lab spaces for the following courses.
MECH 103 - Introduction to Mechanical Engineering
MECH 200 - Introduction to Manufacturing Processes
MECH 202 - Engineering Design II
MECH 231 - Engineering Experimentation
MECH 307 - Mechatronics and Measurement Systems
MECH 331 - Introduction to Engineering Materials
MECH 338 - Thermal/Fluids Sciences Laboratory
MECH 486/ 498 Sr. Capstone Practicums
As part of providing engineering support, I have had the privilege of providing training and troubleshooting assistance to a staff of approximately 20 graduate teaching assistants, across the 6 lab spaces supporting 8 lab courses consisting of 6 to 16 separate lab experiments each. It is difficult to capture in short form all this entails but I have had the exciting privilege of fixing broken equipment mid lab all the way through supporting in depth engineering design work for student design teams.

Undergraduate Teaching Laboratory Upgrade Program
I managed a significant update of the undergraduate teaching labs totaling about $385,000 including renovation of the 3 lab spaces (the EMEC, I2P Lab, and ThermoFluid's Laboratory) to add 480VAC 3Phase power, a dedicated welding lab with appropriate HVAC, a dry lab for the ThermoFluid's lab space to support the benchtop experiments.

In addition to the lab space, we added many equipment and experiments to support new laboratory experiments for many of the lab courses. These additions include the following experiments

Instrumented Brayton Cycle (Jet Engine)
Instrumented Rankine Cycle (steam power plant)
Free Piston Sterling Engine demonstrator which includes combined heat and power and hybridization.
Tier 4 Turbodiesel engine
Chemical Rocket Propulsion and Cold Gas Thruster Demonstration.
Turbocharger waste heat recovery and turbo machinery demonstrator.
Scotchman Iron Woker
Morgan Vertical Manual Injection Molder
BOY 25E Horizontal Injection Molder (donated by X2F in Fort Collins).
8"x8" Custom wind tunnel high speed image data acquisition lab (refurbished from retired research laboratory equipment)

In addition to the renovated laboratory space and the new teaching labs a 20% increase in laboratory capacity without compromising the quality of the hands-on experiential learning experience was targeted and is almost complete.

High School Physics
Olive Tree FacultyÂ
(August 2020 - Current)
I teach a high school level intro to physics course and lab as part of a home school enrichment program. The class meets twice a week for 70 min. I typically conduct one lecture and one creative lab each week.

My course pedagogy is centered around hands on learning and physical interaction to teach the material. It is my objective to provide real world examples, and demonstrations of the principals in physics so that students complete the course with a passion for the delight of physics and exploring the world around them.
